POLITICS AND SOCIETY
On February 27, 2022, three days after the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the onset of the “change of epochs” (Zeitenwende) – irreversible tectonic changes in the world as a whole and in the functioning of the European subsystem of international relations in particular. The semantic load inherent in this term is radically different. The transformation of the vector of development of the world order began long before the events of February 24, 2022. The origins of the systemic crisis in relations between Russia and the “collective West” lie in a number of factors, for example, interstate contradictions, values and civilizational differences, which were clearly demonstrated by the events of the late XX century – early XXI century. Thus, “Zeitenwende” announced by O. Scholz is only a statement of the formation of a new world order that began in the 2010s.
The article analyzes Russia's doctrine as a state-civilization, the civilizational approach to strategic planning that expresses its essence, which is formulated in official documents of state bodies and in speeches by their leaders. The article reveals the features of the civilizational approach in the foreign policy strategy of the modern Russian state, which corresponds to the model of a multipolar world.
The article analyzes the crisis of political parties in the context of "post-democracy", manifested in a decrease in trust in them and their institutional role. Using the example of EU countries, the factors of political communication, including digital technologies and populism, affecting the level of trust in parties are studied. Using Eurobarometer data (2000-2024), the author identifies a correlation between trust in parties, regional governments, national governments and parliaments. The results demonstrate a systemic crisis of trust in traditional institutions, the strengthening of populist tendencies and the growing depoliticization of society in favor of direct social action. The work contributes to the understanding of the evolution of populism and its consequences for democratic processes. The theoretical framework of the study was the concept of "postdemocracy" to explain the crisis of representative institutions, the theory of network society to analyze the role of digital platforms. Based on the results of the study, the author concluded that the low level of trust in political institutions is caused by a set of socio-political factors under the influence of the digital environment. The development of digital communications strengthens populist narratives that undermine the legitimacy of traditional parties. Research has recorded an increase in direct social action. Citizens are moving from political protest to horizontal practices (for example, local initiatives), which depoliticizes society, but preserves the latent protest potential. The article systematizes the influence of digital communications and populism on the crisis of parties, offering new perspectives for studying depoliticization and alternative forms of civic engagement.
SOCIOLOGY OF CULTURE
The article presents an analysis of the concept of socio-cultural integration of society in understanding the role of this process in the context of modernization, containing risks of disintegration, social oblivion. Sociocultural integration is considered in the paradigm of "positive integration" based on the functional interdependence of parts of the social system. A conclusion is made about the importance of social memory, which forms the basis of the tradition of Russian society. The expediency of turning to the preservation and reproduction of historically established axiological, cognitive, norms and practices in new realities is argued; the results of studies reflecting the tendencies of manifestation of this process among young people are presented.
The study is devoted to the analysis of the frame "modern technological theater" in the assessments of Muscovite theater-goers. The paper examines the impact of digital technologies on theatrical art, as well as the audience's assessment of these innovations. The empirical database is based on data from an online survey of 259 respondents conducted in the spring of 2025. The results revealed contradictions between the interest in theatrical technological innovations and the commitment to traditional forms, showing that the majority of respondents prefer classical productions with elements of modern directing, and the willingness to pay
