Russia's activities in the BRICS: historical aspects and modernity

The article provides a detailed overview of the history, development and prospects of the BRICS association in the global political arena.
At the beginning of the article, a brief description of the composition of BRICS for 2024 is presented. Then the historical part of the article is presented, which tells about the prerequisites for the creation of the BRICS union. It examines in detail the consolidation of the dollar on the world stage, which, subsequently, led to the creation of BRICS. The next block describes the goals of BRICS as an international association. It tells about their advantages in comparison and economic indicators that could surpass the success of the United States.
This is followed by an overview of the financial and economic aspects of BRICS. Great attention is paid to the New Development Bank, created within the framework of the union of states, as well as to the personal goals and interests of each of the countries in the union.
After that, the activities of Rossi within the framework of BRICS are considered. The written material is based on a recent interview with Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, who spoke about the possibility of creating a certain unit of account and switching to digital economic technologies.
Then it is said about the problems of the BRICS countries both in their relations with each other and in the internal structure of individual states. The key conflicts of the allied countries in the political arena that harm the development of the organization are presented. Much attention is paid to the strong difference of interests, which directly negatively affects the further development of the organization.
