The temporal imbalance of cultural progress and the development of digital technologies

Abstract

The development of society is a process not only associated with the growth of opportunities, but also associated with the emergence of new risks, as well as the aggravation of existing ones. The article deals with the issue of transformational costs in the cultural sphere caused by the intensive development of information technologies. The article analyzes the general impact of information technologies on culture, as well as the changes embracing it as a result of the emergence of new technologies for capturing, storing and transmitting information. The main trends and risks associated with the intensification of information exchange are considered. The point of view is substantiated, according to which at the present stage the use of digital technologies is complicated by the influence of political and commercial interests, as well as associated with mechanisms for reproducing crisis trends in culture.
