Security of international transport corridors in Eurasia
Abstract
The article considers alternative ways to ensure the security of international transport corridors in Eurasia – on the basis of a bilateral partnership of states or a multilateral format of their interaction. The second way, if necessary (in case of the the growth of threats), also implies the creation of an intergovernmental security organization. The purpose of the study is to determine the possibility of creating an international organization for security in Eurasia, which would be able to protect international transport corridors from socio-political threats. The author concludes that it is possible and necessary to create an international organization to ensure regional security and protect transport corridors in Eurasia. Such an organization is better able to solve this problem than the bilateral interaction of the interested states of the region.
