Socio-cultural orientation of regional radio broadcasts (results of the author's content analysis)

Abstract

The article is devoted to the scientific analysis of the socio-cultural orientation of regional radio broadcasts based on the author's empirical research (content analysis of websites and Internet pages of radio stations in Tambov) . The present study is relevant, among other things, in connection with the emergence of new information technologies, and in connection with the popularity of the traditional information distribution channel - radio in the region. The novelty of the research consists in the experimental data obtained, which allows us to identify both the socio-cultural specifics of radio content and the problems of informing about current events in the cultural and spiritual sphere on the example of a separate Russian region. The author experimentally identified such characteristics of regional radio content as eventfulness, summary of information, plot, orientation to the mass consumer, while the least coverage is given to socio–cultural events that form mass consciousness, social mood and social well-being of the inhabitants of the region - science, religion, education.
