Evaluation of civil rights and freedoms by the people of Karachay-Cherkess republic
Abstract
The article presents the results of the analysis of the data of a sociological study of the attitudes of the population of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic in relation to certain civil rights and freedoms as values of civil society. Some modern approaches to the study of the situation with the observance of the rights and freedoms of citizens are shown, the need to abandon subjectivity and politicization in assessing the results is indicated. The array of indicators obtained in the course of a survey of residents of Karachay-Cherkessia, characterizing the positions of respondents, is studied, on the basis of which the ranking of the investigated rights and freedoms is carried out. In general, a high level of awareness of the importance of strict adherence to the studied values of modern society is determined. Prospective directions for further development of this topic in the framework of sociological science are proposed.
