Moscow megacity in the system of priorities of state policy of the Russian Federation

Abstract

The article examines the main components of the political and legal status of the city of Moscow, and also identifies the place and role of the metropolitan megacity in the most important spheres of life in modern Russia. It emphasizes the need for the federal Center to conduct an appropriate state policy towards Moscow, taking into account both the historically established specifics of the city and its special importance for the development of the country, and the rapidly changing foreign policy realities
