Abstract

The article presents the results of a dynamic analysis of regional security in the Chechen Republic (CR) from the point of view of officially recorded risks and threats to the ethnopolitical and socioeconomic stability of the region. A conclusion is made about positive trends in regional processes indicating a gradual strengthening of regional security, and the further formation of a moderately positive scenario for the development of the ethnopolitical situation in the republic. At the same time, Chechnya retains a risk-generating potential. This may become a trigger for destabilization of the ethnopolitical situation in the republic. It is substantiated that the republic has been able to ensure a sufficiently high level of regional security for a long time even in conditions of geopolitical tension
