На основе исследования многочисленных зарубежных источников авторами проведён политико-социологический и информационно-психологический анализ системы агитационно-пропагандистской деятельности руководства нацистской Германии, апробированной с целью изменения мотивации и стереотипов поведения населения зарубежных стран, входивших в зону интересов Третьего рейха и во многом обеспечившей их превращение в его сателлитов.
Несмотря на активное участие гитлеровских пропагандистов в преступлениях против человечества, их деятельность в послевоенные годы не получила должной правовой оценки, они избежали денацификации и не понесли заслуженного наказания. В условиях “холодной войны“ их знания и навыки оказались востребованы и спецслужбами, и ведущими массмедиа Западной Германии и ряда недружественных стран. А разработанная сотрудниками геббельсовского министерства пропаганды и показавшая высокую степень эффективности система манипулирования массовым сознанием составила основу подрывных технологий, именуемых сегодня идеями «мягкой силой» и концепцией «стратегической коммуникации».
Based on a study of numerous foreign sources, the authors conducted a political, sociological, and information-psychological analysis of the system of agitation and propaganda activities of the Nazi German leadership, which was tested in order to change the motivation and behavioral patterns of the population of foreign countries that were part of the Third Reich's sphere of interest and played a significant role in their transformation into its satellites.
Despite the active participation of Hitler's propagandists in crimes against humanity, their activities in the post-war years were not properly evaluated, and they avoided denazification and did not receive the punishment they deserved. In the context of the Cold War, their knowledge and skills were in demand by both the intelligence services and the leading media outlets in West Germany and several other hostile countries. The system of mass consciousness manipulation developed by the Goebbels Ministry of Propaganda, which proved highly effective, became the foundation for the subversive technologies now known as "soft power" and "strategic communication".
