Статья посвящена анализу истории и современным тенденциям становления музейного менеджмента как системы принципов, способов, средств и форм управления музейным учреждением и его персоналом. Развитие теории и практики менеджмента музеев мира дает основание автору сделать выводы о том, что музеи не рассматриваются как проводники перемен, однако могут инициировать переосмысление роли истории в общественной жизни; использование новых технологий позволяет музею сосредоточиться на своей миссии, а не на администрировании; обозначились тенденции переосмысления функций современных музеев в области устойчивого развития сегодня музеи могут становиться местом отдыха и ментального здоровья человека. Актуальными направлениями развития музеев выступают также: сотрудничество с локальным сообществом, образовательные программы для молодежи и лиц серебряного возраста.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the history and modern trends in the formation of museum management as a system of principles, methods, means and forms of management of a museum institution and its staff. The development of the theory and practice of museum management in the world gives the author reason to conclude that museums are not considered as agents of change, but can initiate a rethinking of the role of history in public life; the use of new technologies allows the museum to focus on its mission, rather than on administration; There have been trends in rethinking the functions of modern museums in the field of sustainable development - today museums can become a place of recreation and mental health of a person. Relevant areas of museum development are also: cooperation with the local community, educational programs for young people and people of silver age.
